TESTIMONIAL

“We’ve had the good fortune of being associated with Steven Hallam for many years. During this time we’ve found Steven to be ethical, business focused and yet still open, honest and personal to deal with when things get tough, as they do at any time. Our need for assistance and guidance from Steven has helped us achieve security and peace of mind with what we have accumulated.

As a result of this association and actions we’ve subsequently taken, we can confidently say goodbye or just goodnight, knowing that there are plans in place no matter what may happen.

Thank you for your support and assistance over the years, and we look forward to many more to come.

 Martin and Linda C.

CASE STUDIES

Taking care of the simple things

Nick B
Young, active and works in an industry where his ability to lift and drive is essential.

In 2016 Nick injured an elbow in the gym, unable to work for about 3 months. So, Nick’s income protection policy kicked into gear and covered Nick during that time according to the policy schedule.

Who said lightning never strikes twice? In early 2017 Nick had surgery for a hernia. Again, he was out of action for up to 3 months and again his Income Protection policy kicked into gear.

 Insurance does pay.

This is the part of insurance you don’t often see in action.

Getting it Together

Sean T & Carmen N
Married with 2 kids and one ragamuffin dog, Sean and Carmen are happy and charging through life.

When we first met they were focused on getting advice.

Over time they created a self-managed super fund, but the work involved became something they didn’t want to have to manage so a couple of years ago we moved to a retail fund that Steven also uses for himself.

Carmen was much relieved and Sam was happy with the idea as well.

One of the most important aspects of the work we have done with Sean and Carmen is preparing for the “what if” scenario.

With 2 kids to look after we structured a Family Protection portfolio that is cost effective and covers all the bases, even protecting the kids in the event of a trauma event.

But that’s only part of the equation, we also set up a meeting with a specialist lawyer to structure Wills and Powers of Attorney.

Neither Sean or Carmen are sick, this is just proper planning.

How often do we need to change Sean and Carmen’s plan? Only if there are major changes to their financial or family situation.

In reality, the plan put in place may never need to change until the kids have left home.

Peace of mind and knowing we are in the background makes life a lot easier for Sean and Carmen.

Being prepared when it’s the last thing you think will happen.

Toby (pseudo name) was a young gun, flying high in his corporate career, travelling overseas for business, making deals and living life large.

With 2 kids, a mortgage and a wife working part-time we had worked with Toby over the years to review his family’s financial security needs as the family grew and the debts changed.

Nobody saw it coming, you don’t think it’s going to happen, Toby seemed on top of life.

There was no pain, it was sudden and suddenly a young family was shattered.

Money doesn’t change much at this time, but after a while you realise that the right money to the right people can make a huge difference to the future that Toby’s children had.

Toby was smart, he sought out advice, asked questions, accepted advice and moved forward.
